Distillery Graphene Capture Systems (DGCS) represents a new class of ultra‑efficient, containerised carbon capture technology engineered to intercept emissions directly at the source. Instead of relying on the high‑heat, high‑cost chemical processes used in traditional capture systems, DGCS uses advanced graphene oxide mixed‑matrix membranes to filter CO₂ at room temperature. Graphene acts as an “atomic‑scale sieve,” enabling CO₂ to be separated from fermentation exhaust using only low‑energy vacuum pumps. Housed inside a rugged 20‑foot shipping container, each unit integrates a dehumidification bay, multi‑stage filtration, and a liquefaction system that converts captured gas into high‑value, food‑grade CO₂ ready for commercial sale.

This modular approach transforms carbon capture from an expensive infrastructure burden into a scalable, high‑margin manufacturing product. Distilleries and breweries whose fermentation streams are already “nearly 100% pure CO₂” become ideal early partners, allowing rapid validation and immediate revenue generation. With a single container capable of producing up to 20 tonnes of liquid CO₂ per day and delivering realistic annual net profits of ~£1M, DGCS offers both climate impact and commercial strength. At full scale, 1,400 units could prevent over 10 million tonnes of biogenic CO₂ from entering the atmosphere each year, proving that carbon capture can be clean, profitable, and deployable anywhere.
